31 August 2017 – The Salvation Army Kuching held its Open Day Sale on National Day – a special day that marks the nation’s 60th year of Independence. The Salvation Army was established in 1938 by the British with its humble beginning in Penang now has six residential homes in Malaysia that provide care and protection to children and young adults.
This non-governmental organisation has helped many children and families across Malaysia by providing residential care and community-based services. One of their fundraising campaigns in Sarawak is its Open Day Sale to support and improve the two centres in Kuching, The Salvation Army’s Children Home and Boys Home.
Our staff from CMS Premix set up stall to sell chicken with salsa wrap, chicken cheese balls, roti jala (lace pancake) with curry chicken and kuih bahulu and managed to raise RM1,153.00 for The Salvation Army, Kuching.
